SOCIAL POLICY PLAN – FURTHER
PARTICIPATION EVENTS

 The public is reminded,
that the first draft of the Social Policy Plan is available from the Public
Library, the Community Care Complex, Prince Andrew School, the Hospital and on
the SHG website under publications. The draft plan can be discussed at
participation events held around the Island.

Paul McGinnety who developed the
plan commented:

“It is important that
people attend the participation events to continue to be part of the process of
developing the social policy plan they started. It is a chance for people to
get involved and take ownership of the plan as we move forward.”

Meetings to discuss the draft plan
will be held from 7pm to 8pm at the following venues:

Thursday 29 August - Sandy Bay
Community Centre

Monday 2 September - Longwood
Community Centre

Thursday 5 September - Blue Hill
Community Centre

Following this period of
consultation with the public and stakeholders, the plan will be revised before
moving through the political process for endorsement by Executive Council.
