If you did not attend Team Tranquil’s Music for a Spring Evening – you missed a lot. Thanks to students at the Community School under the leadership of Mrs Shirley Adams Leach, the Recorder Group, the Community Choir and individual artists the audience was treated to an excellent evening of light classical music.

3: Dr Richard Laws – 1926 to 2014 - Falklands (Heritage) - 13.10.2014
It was with sadness when I read the British Antarctic Survey announced the death of one of its former directors. Dick Laws died on Monday 6 October 2014 aged 88. He was Director of BAS from 1973 – 1987.

4: St Helena: ACTS OF BRAVERY AWARDS PRESENTED - St Helena (Heritage) - 26.09.2014
A reception hosted by HE Governor and Mrs Capes was held last evening (Thursday 25 September) at Plantation House, to present Acts of Bravery Awards to those involved in the successful rescue of Mr Deon March of Blue Hill on 2 August 2013.
