Teather & Greenwood Limited with institutional and other investors to raise up
to £1,328,000 (before expenses).

- Executive Council has approved a policy relating to making Crown land available for commercial and house building purposes which will come into effect on 12 March 2007.

- A UK Government team (HMG) comprising Malcolm Geere (DFID Programme Manager, South Atlantic), Nirosha Gaminiratne (DFID Economic Adviser), Caterina Alari (DFID Governance Adviser) and Amanda Ross McDowell (FCO Desk Officer) visited St Helena between the 26th February and 6th March. The team was supported on island by Eddie Palmer, DFID representative to St Helena. The team’s main objectives were to review:

- T. Bone Pickens, a leading Texas Oil man, has said that hydrocarbons resources are depleted by 50% and that production is at its peak. This has caused crude prices to ooze upwards today.

- Cable & Wireless South Atlantic Limited and St Helena Government began discussions this week about the future provision of telecommunications on St Helena.

- The Governor in Council, on 23 January 2007, approved an Interim Policy to deal with applications for landholding under the Immigrants’ Landholding (Restriction) Ordinance.

- Executive Council recently agreed to increase the price of fuel sold from the Bulk Fuel Installation (BFI) and the impact of this, on prices at the pumps, has now been announced by Solomon and Company.

- Executive Council has approved a policy on the waiver of immigration fees. This policy takes immediate effect. People with St Helenian Status will not, however, be required to pay any fees.
- 19: FIG and Workboat Services Limited Release Joint Statement - Falklands (Shipping/Freight) - 01.03.2007
- Due to continued speculation about coastal shipping around the Falklands the Falkland Islands Government and Workboat Services Ltd. have issued a joint statement.
