 - Falkland Islanders were glued to their television sets to witness live the wedding of H.R.H. Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton at 1100 London time on Friday, 29 April 2011.

- Giving the complex and busy nature of his day job as power station manager, Mr Glenn Ross, MLA has tendered his resignation from Legislative Assembly after two years in post. The official announcement was made with regret.
